Qualification:
Diploma – ( CS/ IT/ IS) candidates from 2014/2015 batches
Job Roles & Responsibilities:
Maintain VMware vCenter and ESXi machines. Provide assistance to engineers to deploy OS. Generate reports about the resource utilization of vCenter and alert Managers as needed.
Provides technical support and assistance to engineers in a computer lab environment; analyzes problems and implements solutions and procedures; and assures system stability, accessibility, and proper configuration of assigned technical systems and components.
Performs computer trouble-shooting to diagnose system problems; analyzes hardware and software functionality; identifies, locates, resolves and repairs problems within scope of authority; documents call records and results. Work with system vendors to resolve and repair issues.
Monitors Antivirus update on lab machines.
Maintains lab inventory and lab environment. Ensure cables are arranged properly and systems are kept in rack. Return old and unused systems to IS&T.
Monitors physical security of lab machines and peripheral equipment’s.
Record changes in lab like new software installation, bulk deployment of systems and movement of systems.
Monitor the health of ESXi Servers and generate reports.
Required Knowledge:
Administration and maintenance of network servers, VMware vCenter and ESXi software applications.
Administration skills on Windows and Linux network operating systems.
Network hardware, software, and peripheral equipment troubleshooting techniques.
Network topologies and protocols.
Skills:
