Job Description:

Summary:

Create the look, feel, and user experience of CEBs online products. The Web Designer is responsible for establishing and maintaining site design and executing brand standards on the web including typography, logos, color, CSS style sheets, icons, and imagery per brand and optimized user experience standards.

As a member of CPS Design Studio, CEBs in-house multimedia and design team, your projects will consists of varied and innovative work that includes online demos, media-rich Web sites, interactive learning modules, dynamic and interactive business tools, mobile applications, product branding campaigns, high-end marketing materials, custom HTML emails and more.

Functional:

Creating and maintaining look and feel of CEB web products including websites, online tools, and applications

Creating navigational and visual design of online products, including enhancing the usability of existing products and translating new product requirements into aesthetically pleasing, highly-usable design solutions

Coding test pages, templates, and CMS components for review and iteration

Performing audits of existing materials, fixing bugs and errors

Strengthening and maintaining visual integrity of CEB online brand

Identify and elevate any inefficient department processes to manager.

Solid grasp of the relationship between form and function and appropriate aesthetic integration of design, illustration, color theory, and typography.

Document processes as assigned to help share knowledge with team and clients.

Partner with clients to concept, design and code products that meet business and user goals.

Execute initiatives as requested by department leadership.

Performing audits of existing materials

Project Management and Client Communication

Manage multiple long- and short-term projects while aiming to stay within the established hours.

Determine and allocate the time needed to accomplish each project throughout the day, week, or month. Ensure that all projects are completed at the proper time for each phase of the project timeline and provide timely status updates to clients.

Determine needs and results of shifting priorities quickly within a fast-paced work environment

Balance project assignments and adherence to admin tasks to ensure high productivity regardless of workflow.

Act as project manager and client relationship manager for assigned tasks and relationships

Review and determine if all information has been obtained to complete a project. If information is missing, seek out the missing information from the appropriate partners.

Meet client expectations and have the ability to understand client requirements and reflect that in the design layouts and visuals.

Educate clients on department processes.

Establish and maintain clear communication with team members and managers

 

Education/Experience Requirements:

3-6 years experience in web design

B.A. in Graphic Design, Digital Arts, or related degree preferred

Portfolio of web design work, including HTML Emails required

Advanced skills in (x)HTML, CSS, and cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility

Proficiency in JavaScript

Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite

Experience wireframing, designing, prototyping, and developing for both desktop and mobile web sites through responsive design principles

Experience in Interwoven Teamsite, Adobe Experience Manager, and/or Microsoft SharePoint a plus

Web production skills (image optimization, cropping, and slicing), advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop

Working knowledge of user interface (UI) design, instructional design, and information hierarchy

Fluent with Mac and PC platforms
