\nPrincipal Responsibilities:<\/strong>
\nExperience designing & development in Core Java\/J2EE\/ JSP and from an Engineering point of view.
\nAbility to do deep dive on technical areas and get the best outcome out of technically challenging situations.
\nAble to get hands on and be a role model for vendor technical teams.
\nUnderstand the telecom domain well enough to act as domain focal point
\nUnderstand need of multiple projects and communicate them divisionally and\/or cross-divisionally
\nContribute to the definition of the team processes and standards
\nManage concurrent application releases and large engineering teams to deliver quality software releases on time
\nDrive strong engineering practices in the team
\nAbility to debug complex issues and provide the right solution
\nPerson Specification:<\/strong>
\nEssential Skills (Skills without which the person cannot perform the role, limit to a maximum of four skills only )
\nHands-on coding ability and to trouble shoot and fix Java\/J2EE\/.Net, Oracle, Weblogic and
\nWorking knowledge of test driven development, ability to use refactoring techniques, performance tuning of application and automated test script development
\nEffective verbal and written communication skills
\nStrong analytical and debugging kills
\nOverall Skills and Experience (Include skills that in addition to the essential skills are required for the person to perform the role in a better way):<\/strong>
\nExperience in technical of complex project deliveries end-to-end with matrix managed structure.
\nExperience developing and designing Enterprise Application development Projects both from an Engineering and Project Management perspective
\nSelf-starter who can lead the way by setting up prototypes for vendor technical teams to follow
\nContribute to the definition of the team processes and standards
\nIn depth understanding of Telecom product offering
\nEssential:<\/strong>
\nPossess B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science or related field
\nStrong Java\/J2EE, Oracle, Database skills User Interface design skills
\nProvide technical and functional guidance and direction to team members
\nPossess excellent written and oral communication skills
\nDesired Candidate Profile:<\/strong>
\nWorking with large Telco service providers is a plus
\nTelecom certifications
\nJava\/Oracle certifications
\nExperience in working with geographically dispersed teams.<\/p>\n
